Want to hold the entire North Carolina Constitution in the palm of your hand and take it with you wherever you go? Now you can, thanks to the N.C. Institute for Constitutional Law.

The Raleigh-based nonprofit launched an iPad app last week in honor of Constitution Day. The application allows iPhone users to access the state Constitution at the press of a button (or, more accurately, the touch of a screen).

“We are excited to put the North Carolina Constitution in the hands of North Carolinians,” NCICL senior staff attorney Jason Kay said in a press release. “Now, more easily than ever before, citizens can read, study and educate others about the state Constitution - the cornerstone of state law and the chief limitation on state government.”

The app can be downloaded for free here.
